Tony shirt class with Tony Rea - Friday 2nd May 2025 - Learn how to make your very own Tony shirt with the man himself! 

Come and make a Tony shirt with Tony Rea, Great British Sewing Bee finalist and shirt fanatic! Tony is hosting a class at our Coachworks home, where you can make your very own version of his shirt - made famous during his time on the programme, where he showcased his variety of different shirts, and his super speedy sewing skills. Here you can learn from Tony how to make a version for yourself or a loved one.

What you will learn: this is a Confident Beginner's class where you will learn how to make a simple man's shirt, with a Cuban collar and crossover buttoned closure.

What you will need to bring:
- Fabric - cotton, poplin, lawn, quilt weight, linen, linen blend
(150cm wide - 36"-44" - 1.8m, 46"-56" - 2.8m)
- 0.5m of fusible interfacing
- Matching thread
- 5 x buttons
- A sewing machine
- Your sewing kit, including scissors for cutting out fabric, an unpicker, pins, and anything else you would normally use when sewing
- Your own lunch, unless you would like to purchase something from the food outlets on site

Things to note:
- The Tony shirt class takes place from 10am - 4.30pm at Coachworks, Ashford on Friday 2nd May 2025.
- Tea and coffee making facilities are available on site.
- If we have to cancel the class due to illness or unexpected circumstances, you will be issued with a full refund.
- The class is open to over 16s only.
- If you need to cancel your class, please do so within 7 days of the class date - you will then be issued with a 75% refund; if you cancel after this point, we will be unable to offer you a refund, but you can ask to transfer the class into someone else's name.
